It was a tough climb, but I'm a big guy!! I was determined to climb to the top, just to say I did it!!!
Terrible system. Unfriendly staff. Give out passes for the day by early and all else turned back. It's a short hike. People leave after hiking it. But they won't let you wait and then go in. What a racket.
This is the best park in Texas. It is a natural area, so they limit capacity so it does and will close down when it gets full. My advice is be there when it opens, period. The long wait isn't checking in, it is waiting for someone to leave! But seriously, do you want to go to a place that is empty because it isn't awesome??
