Excellent Sushi ! – Excellent sushi. Menu items are also very good. cozy interior. Nice sushi bar as well as the restaurant. Staff very friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced. Nice location in Santa Monica Blvd. Good ambience
Ants in our sake glass – This happened a year ago but our sake glass was filled with ants. They started to crawl out the minute we poured it. When we told the server, the quickly apologized and covered the entire area where they keep their sake glasses. It was definitely surprising considering the decor of the restaurant has always appeared clean to us. I'm sure after that event, they are aware of this issue but I just had to let everyone know that this restaurant does not deserve the rating it currently does.
Was good - LOST IT ALL!! – I used to love this place. I took my wife on our first date here and go back usually at least 6 times in the last 6 months.... We LOVE sushi in general. I recently took a collegue from work there and double dated arriving late (about 10.30pm). We were seated and immediately asked for our order. Mashed Potatoes? – Steamed Carrots with my sushi. Just what I needed. The place is for trendy hollywood people that think they can eat Japanese food. Sorry, this isn't real sushi. This is catered to the American taste just like PF Chang's. The inside was beautiful, but that's about the only thing I liked about this place. Everyone is so hollywood and has to be as beautiful as the furniture.
Worst customer service ever! – I organized 2 coworkers birthday parties there, and we had about 20 people. They said even though we had reservations, we couldn't sit down at the table until everyone arrived. The 19 of us ordered drinks and after 3 hours, they still refused to let us sit down because one guy was struck on the 405. At this point, it was 9pm and the restaurant was obviously very empty and no one else was walking in for the night. Good Westside Sushi – This place is great for the money. I have taken many people here, and they are always very satisfied. Fish is fresh, they have a great tuna carpaccio, and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is decorated nicely, and they have a cool fountain behind the bar area. They have great lunch specials too.

TERRIBLE SERVICE – I had been to this restaurant before and thought it was decent. On a second visit, we ate in and ordered food to go. During the meal, the waitress, Noriko, brought the wrong item (salmon instead of yellowtail). Then we ordered food to go, and again, the order was incorrect. always good! – I am never disappointed in the food here. The fish is always fresh and wonderful. They are always willing to serve us when we walk in late.
