Elliston's owner hasn't changed the restaurant much since its opening in 1950s. The great food and service that made this famous also remain the same. Burgers and shakes are the standard here, but you can also get a good 'meat-and-three' meal as well. While this Nashville landmark was made famous by the movie, "Sweet Dreams: The Patsy Cline Story" starring Jessica Lange, its popularity with downtown workers and Vanderbilt University students is attributed mainly to its casual atmosphere and delicious food.

I’ve been a couple of times, the first time the banana split was delicious. Today I got a strawberry milk shake, it tasted like medicine, like they used strawberry syrup instead of fresh strawberries. My all time favorite dessert is ice cream, and I couldn’t even finish a a glass full, let alone the metal cup they give you with the extra that is made. Very disappointed in the shake.
Great staff, and food. Awesome Shakes. Enjoyed bringing some music to the cornerstone of Nashville restaurants!
