Horrible horrible experience. Got a car has high miles but the inspection process sucks. They think they are doing you a favor when they are selling junk. Don't buy a used car unless you have your personal mechanic look at it first. The manager laughed because I asked them to fix the issue he is a jerk that laughs and tries to play women buyers. The first time I drove out to Elgin VW was on 16 January 2017 for an oil change. There I met the Assistant Service Manager, Steven Eckhardt. Everything was handled very professionally and the bill was clearly explained. I appreciated that. While waiting, I met Sales Consultant, Jeff Gossage. I was on my way home from Chicago with my daughter and sister during some serious rain when my windshield wipers stopped. We barely made it off 90 because I couldn't see anything, and slowly drove to the VW dealership in Elgin. The service department was closed but a few of the sales people offer to put polish on the windshield & buff it so the rain would bead off! I recently (4/3/17) bought a used 2013 juke nismo from elgin, and my first impression was good. I knew the car I wanted and there were about 4 in the area that I was looking at. I was driving on 90 tonight and all of a sudden I get a flat tire and am fortunate to be by the Randall road exit which brought to me Elgin VW, they are AMAZING, they got me in their service dept. right away and Steven Eckhardt took care of it immediately as I and my daughter had to pick up my son in time from after school care. Today while driving home from work I got a flat tire on my car. I pulled off I90 on Randall Road and proceeded begin removing the flat tire only to find out that the locking nut was broken and would not come off.
