Our Family has been serving freshly made Mexican Food since 1968. We offer traditional dishes to Vegetarian, Vegan & Gluten Free Options. We use only quality ingredients and cook our food in Canola, Olive or Coconut Oils. Lard is only used for our Pork & Beef Tamales. Our Menu offers a variety of options. Enchiladas, Tacos, Burritos, Chicken Mole, Caldo de Pollo, Menudo, Cactus, Huevos Rancheros, Chorizo, Fajitas and many more. Including American & Mexican Breakfast on Saturday Mornings.

We ate there yesterday afternoon and it was really good. Service was good as well!
El Tipico is the most outstanding restaurant and I will continue rave about the food to anyone who wants the best authentic Mexican food in Toledo.
We had an awesome meal. We had not been to El Tipico in years and we will not let as much time lapse before we will be back. The 5 layer dip was incredible and our meals delicious.

My mother is on a mexican pizza kick so were either there or carryout. Either way the staff is great, making sure our order is complete and the way we want. Food is fresh and delicious.

Vegan cheese in the rust belt makes me happy. Killer home made salsas make this Toledo joint unmissable for the veggie crowd.
Food was okay. The rice I ordered was not fully cooked. I had hard grains all throughout the rice. Enchiladas were alright also.
El Tipico is the closest thing to tasting authentic Mexican food I have found in Ohio. I am so happy to have found a go-to restaurant in Toledo, especially one that is vegan and vegetarian friendly and doesn't overload their food with obnoxious amounts of salt and cheese. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and the mole was wonderful; very complex flavors. The hard shell tacos were also delicious. The waitress was courteous and kind enough to share the history of the restaurant and family. thank you kindly, Regresare!
