About this business
In 1965 this restaurant started as A & W serving their famous root beer barrels and hot dogs as a drive in. Later on Mr. Robert Perez bought it and changed the name to "El Sombrero Drive Inn" changing the restaurant to Mexican food. In 1986 the Bohon family bought the restaurant, changing the menu and added seafood to their Mexican food menu. The hidden jem of Tucson. Very authentic dishes, Sonoran style. Could be the best tostada de ceviche in town. Fresh! Caldo de mariscos has great flavor, old Sonoran recipe from the Sea of Cortez. They have a Unique Chile powder that comes in a table shaker. Great service, very friendly.
This is a nice place and delicious food try and visit El Merendero Churos is delicious my favorite dessert
We had a wonderful experience all around!
