About this business
In 1965 this restaurant started as A & W serving their famous root beer barrels and hot dogs as a drive in. Later on Mr. Robert Perez bought it and changed the name to "El Sombrero Drive Inn" changing the restaurant to Mexican food. In 1986 the Bohon family bought the restaurant, changing the menu and added seafood to their Mexican food menu. Been eating here since I was a kid and it's always been consistently great food!!! I highly recommend El Merendero!!!

It was my first time going there with my son Edmund and we both loved it the cheese crisp with green Chile was the best I ever had !!
