me and my sister usually come here maybe once a week and here lately it has been soooooooo slowwwww on the service. It's always the same excuse every single time! short staffed well get an account on indeed or any job hiring site and hire some servers for christ sake!!! maybe hire a new manager if you cant keep servers either way its absolutely ridiculous!! RecommendedGreat place to go with family for a filling meal, service is always great, portions are huge. Food taste great, this location being in the mall makes it kind of busy at times. Wish they hadn’t downsized and closed the other Okc locations
As my husband and I were being seated the bus boy almost ran my husband over with the cart. Took forever for our waitress to greet us, which was strange considering it was 5:30 and no one was there. We placed our order it took 40 minutes for 3 tacos and a burrito. My husband bit into his burrito and it was ice cold like they pulled it from the refrigerator. We definitely won’t be back. This was our first and last!
This was probably my last visit to this El Chico. I was appalled to see the condition of the restaurant when walking in. They need to do some major work on this and repair the booths, tables, carpeting, etc. The restaurant was less than half full but everything was extremely slow. It took more than ten minutes to order drinks and another 10 to actually get them. on the way to the bathroom, you can see 2 separate staff areas. there was food, dirty towels on the floor. there was a trash can in sight. but it wasn't being used.
Typically we have good experiences at the Norman location. However, this evening my nephews food made it to our table 15 minutes after mine and my fiancées food, the waitress spilled my glass of water in my food, I got the remade order to-go, and it wasn’t (at least not in appearance) what I originally ordered.
