Our waiter was excellent. The food was great, and came out in record time
Got Chicken jalapeño poppers and bit into pretty much frozen chicken! The inside of the popper felt like my glass of water! I told the waitress and I got no apology just a “ok” and she took them. I told her I didn’t want it anymore because it ruined my apatite, no manger or anyone came out and apologize.

Started with the chips and queso. Queso had a crusty film on top as if it sat out on a counter without heat for a while. Server didn’t provide saucers so I asked for napkins for salsa drips. Food arrived and my fork was dirty that was in the napkin. Asked for another and the server brought it. Unwrapped a fork with two whole crusty rice stuck in the fork. We decided not to eat. Update - the GM Danny reached out to us and we went back in, he took care of a few of our meals (there are 6 of us) and we had EXCELLENT service and the food was great... Thanks so much for everything! The guac and queso are fabulous. Thank you Danny and our waitress was AMAZING Some stuff is great and has been great in the past, however the last 2 times we have gotten take out the food was awful and when we called to tell them the food was off I was told oh ok thanks for calling... Family favorite from childhood. I think this is the only one left in OKC area. Which is sad. It has been more than 8 years since I ate at El Chico. Glad to know this one is still here. We will be back. Food was good. Service was good. My fav was still on the menu. Monterey Chicken Dinner! Pleased!
