My granddaughters were so thrilled! I never saw them so excited! I give it 5 stars!!! wholeheartedly!!!

Best place to feel like you’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of the city. Trails will take you through California native floodplain vegetation where you see deer, turkeys, so many birds, and sometimes a coyote or two.

The trails are lovely. You never know what you will see—deer, egrets, even the occasional coyote—and quiet. So many birds to hear and look for! I bring my grandkids here for their nature camps (which are awesome) and visit the visitors’ center to look at their birds and other small animals before taking a magical walk down to the river. I love coming here!

Great place to take kids. Guaranteed to see wild turkeys and deer, along with countless birds and the animals in the nature center. Nature Fest is a must!

This place is amazing! Best place to bring kids to learn and enjoy nature with the amazing center with cool rescued animals, and the river in walking distance a toddler can walk. You can’t beat this place! Perfect day trip! Bring a picnic and water clothes, water shoes (river has rocks not a sandy beach) and you will have a fantastic time.
