After a few months, I asked her about my high risk stocks, her answer was: oh ! Im sorry, my mistake, I shouldve sold the stocks . Our parents left us a nice inheritance and after the last parent passed December 6th 2022. A *** was filed. By January 12th we received our temporary accounts for the disbursements. Today is March 13 and no funds have been disbursed. We have contacted the local office regularly and get excuses and promises of information and or emails which are not acted upon. I am giving a 1 Star Review to ***** ***** at Edward Jones because my account was mishandled. I had funds at ******** and ******* ****and was looking to move my ******** account with someone closer to home. I wanted to mirror what I had at Fidelity, have my new accounts at Edward Jones be the same, and then make changes later. On our second meeting, he had a selection of funds for my Traditional IRA he wanted me to invest in. I went with his recommendations. ****** ************ Regional Manager of an Edward Jones office in Kingman, AZ shared my personal financial information with another customer of his including the accounts I was transferring to another firm. Additionally, he discussed the aptitude of another firm and their ability to handle my account with the other customer, who then called me and expressed his concern that I was moving my accounts. This breach of customer confidentiality and lack of professionalism is appalling. Zero stars. Would not recommend.
I was in search of an investment firm to for my daughter so she would have a good start for college. I decided to select Edward Jones because they have offices everywhere and for convenience. Some with staff there and they advised me on select securities they thought would be best for long term growth. Advisor projected with her age (3 at the time) by the time she was 18 she would have roughly 400k, now 12 years later she has exactly 2k less than I initially invested. This company is a RIP off..I have investments over a two year period..I went from 50k to 43k..The representative I worked with was fired.. his father had 20 years service. Before being fired I had met with advisor and changed investments to graduated CD'S..well after a month or so..I called to check if everything was in order that's when I found out the advisor had been fired and nothing had been done as far as cd transfers..that account had been sitting there in cash...I withdrew my investment amounts. ***** ******* of Newbury Park, CA was my advisor for about 10 years and mismanaged my investments. The biggest issue and why I ultimately left was when I was in the middle of escrow (a sensitive time when you can’t move or change account info) she became irate that I didn’t use her husband as our realtor and sent me threatening messages very late at night via Facebook. With Edward Jones for several years now. commissions are very high. not a lot of confidence in their buy/hold/sell ratings. quality of CFA varies greatly by branch. FriscoTX is the worst. one star all the way.
Decided to transfer my IRA from Edward Jones; 6/17/22, to another company. The branch manager/financial advisor #****** has made my life a nightmare!!!!!!! He continued to put up roadblocks, to make my life miserable, threatening me that if I took out my money, he would no longer be my financial advisor!
