Dr. Zarbalian is brilliant, thoughtful, and thorough. I owe him my life. I am now achieving remission after years of being on biologics for rheum/fibro. I no longer have hypothyroidism. 10/10--
I have been going to East-West Rheumatology for 5 months now after finding Dr. Zarbalian's information on the Ehlers-Danlos Society website. He was able to quickly help me with a dosgnosis for EDS/HSD and alleviating debilitating leg pain I had been suffering with for months. (Other doctors I had seen were unaware of EDS, therefore unable to diagnose me, and were dismissive of my pain.) Western medicine physicians are great at surgery, diagnostics, and prescribing medications that often just put a "band-aid" on the issue. However, as Dr. Z discovered early on in his practice, the medications used in western medicine do not always cure the problem and often result in further health issues as a side effect of the prescribed medication. Beware. EDIT: Just a note that I think it is telling that Dr Zarbalian is more willing to take the time to publicly accuse his severely ill patients of lacking courage than he is to engage in self-reflection. That should tell you what you need to know.
Dr. Zerbalian was extremely thorough and took his time with me. I never felt like he was rushing, even though people were waiting to see him. He takes extra care to explain everything and makes sure you comfortably understand the information. His bedside manner is 10/10
