Called to set up an appointment for a value seal and EVAP diagnostic. Was told I would be charged $108 for EACH problem to be diagnosed. Called J and S automotive in Chugiak and they will diagnose both issues for $100 flat rate.
RecommendedIf I could give them ten stars I would! The GMC dealership told me I had work that could not be done under warranty so we went to a local business to give them our money instead. The shop got my car right in && then told us no way everything you need done is 100% under warranty and we don't want you to have to pay for work that's covered. We have had nothing but positive experiences with ER Auto. They have done work on our classic Mustang and our F250 diesel. Toddi communicates estimates and and any findings, and if there has been any sort of problem, the mechanics do what they can to make it right. We have found them to be fair, honest, and skilled.

DO what they say and mean what they do
I have taken several vehicles here and while sometimes slow the service has been seemingly done well. However this summer my AC compressor failed after about 1 week of using it. Come to find out it was the system was charged with refrigerant but there was no oil in the compressor. Eagle River Automotive serviced, vacuumed and charged the system several months prior. I’ve been taking my vehicles to ER Auto happily for about 30 years. However, BEWARE, they now share your vehicle information with CarFax, and who knows where else.... When you drop your vehicle off, request they DO NOT SHARE your information with anyone if that’s important to you.
I came in on a very busy snowy day for a tire to get patched, they looked at it, said yep we can fix it. Very fast and friendly customer service! 10/10 will come back for any repairs!
