I am writing this as it is happening. I am visiting the resort with me family just to enjoy the views and the winter weather. My daughter was playing in the snow, fell down, and got her leggings all wet. Since we are not guests, i went to the frint desk to ask for a hand dryer to dry her up. Instead of a hand dryer, the staff git my daughter a robe frim the spa, took her pants and threw them in the dryer! Way above and beyond my wildest expectations!! We were staying in Galena and celebrating Christmas with 5 other couples. We were very disappointed in the service and food. We started with the shrimp cocktail and you could tell it was old, very chewy and gross. We ate 1, the waitress said nothing. Then 3 of us ladies ordered the petite sirloin Medium. All 3 came WELL DONE. They did not offer to take any money off or offer anything while we were waiting. It was an awful experience and I would never ever return or recommend, which is a shame because we go to Galena often.

Loved the ambience of the hotel. Lady at the front desk super nice and accommodating. We are at the bar lounge and that was good. We had the brunch and my husband was very impressed. Two thing needs to be updated in rooms and no rerigerator. Also a bit overpriced for the room.

Love it there! Have been there many times over the years and stayed in different accommodations. I would agree that some of the condos/villas need some updating and that sometimes the restaurant service is a bit slow but just sit back and relax and take in all the beauty and friendliness! There are a couple condos completely updated and awesome to stay in. Look at the pics on the website do you see what you are getting. Try LC11 or LC2 if you want a beautiful updated condo!

We stayed in a town home on Oak Glen Drive. It was nicely decorated and very warm and homey. The Woodlands Restaurant was excellent... food very good, and the wait staff were very friendly and efficient. We spent a great day Christmas shopping in Galena. A very satisfying weekend!

Had a wonderful time visiting for the weekend. Our courtyard room was a standard room which was nice but you can hear EVERYTHING around you when in your room. The people walking around in their room above us sounded like elephants and we could hear every conversation of the rooms on both sides of us. The breakfast buffet was great for the price and the views are beautiful. Getting there can be confusing as there are limited signs on very curvy and VERY dark roads.
