Great resort in the rolling hills of NW Illinois. Wild life roams around the premises. Food at the bar is very good, especially the Onion Rings! Only about 2.5 hours from Chicago, but a whole different world out there in the countryside.
Great food..and golf on all courses. Friendly staff everywhere you go. They are redoing the courtyard rooms , (GREAT to hear this, can't wait to stay in the new rooms)....so many things to do on lake, horseback rides, etc. We stay here at least once a Summer and they have always bend over backwards to make our stay wonderful. Even 2 Summers ago when they lost power & Water during a huge storm. They delivered water to us, and also shuttled us anywhere we wanted to eat. I give Eagle Ridge 10 Stars !
The house was absolutely beautiful, the eagle ridge staff was extremely courteous. We all had a wonderful time. Planning next years' trip already.
This is a frequent vacation getaway for our family in February. This past weekend our family of 21 was there this staying in one of the rental homes. We had a few concerns that came up , however the staff addressed them immediately. There is so much to do in the area regardless what season it is. We will definitely return and continue this tradition going forward. A great place to make memories!!
It was our first time there. We didn't really know what to expect. We absolutely loved it! Staff was beyond friendly. We had a villa, literally by ourselves. There wasn't anyone in the entire section we were in. Beautiful views. Townhome was a lot dated, a bit dusty, but not enough to complain about. I would've loved horseback riding, especially since the weather was surprisingly fantastic; however, they're only open weekends, Thurs-Sun. We'll definitely be back..!

My husband took me on a last minute getaway this past Saturday. It was nice walking the streets of Galena, but next time we may just do everything on the resort! Our townhouse was so pretty and cozy (especially with a fire that night), and the bar/restaurant was better than anything in town. Fantastic establishment & beautiful grounds. Highly recommend Sunday brunch before you head home!
Most peaceful place. Absolutely beautiful and so much to offer.
