We adopted 4 month old Kato a black and white kitten!! They made it so fast and easy my son was so happy to bring his baby home! His name has been changed to Jacob but he fits right in!!!

I went there hoping to find a dog for our family. They tried their best, but were always honest with us about the dogs. We couldn't find a suitable pet but they referred us to the Buddy street location and other shelters nearby. I just felt their love for animals, they weren't willing to pawn them off on just anyone coming in to adopt. We did find a great new pet at the Buddy Center location.
My daughter and I came in initially to adopt a small doggie. I was not entirely prepared for a dog but I wanted to entertain my child's desire to have a pet even though I knew that it might require me doing the walking me picking up the poop me doing the dog washing and grooming and all of the details. We came in and they had only one small dog which was not available for our situation. My daughter instantly was drawn to the kitty cats. Dumb Friends league gave us our Lola and we will forever be grateful! She was found on Colfax with parvo and they got her healthy again. She is the sweetest happiest pup!
I've experience incredible joy when we picked up our lost dog that someone brought to the DDFL, extreme elation when we adopted our last pup 9 1/2 years ago, and now heartbreak when we brought that last sweetie back for her final breath. On each visit, we've had the most professional, caring staff to assist us. I can't say enough good things about this organization.
I lost a kitty not long ago. I found one on line that I liked. I noticed it was free adoption weekend. I was definitely surprised that it really was free. It did not cost me a cent but had the opportunity to donate as I wish. The staff could not have been better or more friendly.
Im just wondering WHO was the rocket scientist that came up with the stupid insulting name "dumb"? Outta get kicked in the head.
