We adopted our sweet cat Arleigh (formally named Helen) from one of their petco sites. It was super easy and her file on line was spot on. Super easy to adopt a pet who needs a home and really affordable.
This organization should be cited for negligence and ethical violations towards animals. This place treats cats and dogs as PRISONERS. Their adoption policy is ridiculous in every sense of the word!! Do these people even understand what animals are?? Clearly not. Cats and ESPECIALLY dogs love and NEED stimulation and attention. Keeping them deprived of human contact all day in an isolated box to "decrease stress levels" is irrational, counterintuitive to animal well-being, and just plain STUPID! This is an A+ organization! Super easy to get our family cat spayed. Just in time before her first litter too! Phew! Very kind, took great care of kitty and very professional. Her stitches were so well done they were barely visible! Can’t recommend them highly enough!
We adopted our first dog here 3.5 years ago. We had an amazing experience. Today, we had to bring him back to be put to sleep due to old age. Every volunteer and staff member we interacted with was extremely kind and sensitive with us through this difficult time. They made us feel okay about making the decision to put our baby boy to sleep. Thank you ddfl for everything you have done for us. We will be back for a new baby once we finish working through our grieving process for our sweet sweet boy Chuck.
We just adopted our newest addition from DFL and had a great experience. Brooklyn ( now Riley) was getting spayed the day we came in so we couldn’t meet her but we were added to her waitlist. We were 3rd on the list but ended up being the only one to show up to meet her and took her home that day. We had meet and greets with our dogs that were done professionally and in a safe manner and the staff was super friendly.
