The staff is super friendly, understanding, and helpful. I brought my cat in to be rehomed due to landlord restrictions. Thankfully, he only had to stay one day because we ended up finding a home for him so picked him up the next day. But the whole time he was well cared for, and the staff was super helpful.
The people at the Buddy Center were very kind and the process went smoothly. We love our new kitty and couldn't be happier! Thank you!

While the work you do saving animals is great, don't you think that your compassion for them would be even more evident and complete by not having a fundraiser that relies on the selling of the body parts of others? Cruelty-free/plant based food options are numerous and easily available and serving those would show that your actions are truly in line with your values. Did you know that global animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change, species extinction, and animal cruelty? I see that you have many events where you profit off of the bodies of dead animals. You currently do an ongoing fundraiser where you profit off of sealife being exploited. Why are you hurting one animal to save another? Please adopt a public vegan policy and create a more sustainable and compassionate world. #SaveTheAnimalsSaveTheEarth
Compassion should extend to ALL innocent sentient beings. Do the right thing and promote peace by adopting a public vegan policy. It does not mean you have to go Vegan right away which would be nice but it means that you will have fundraisers that caters Vegan cuisine and that you recognize and acknowledge the harmful affects of animal agriculture.
I will change this review to 5 stars when you do the right thing and adopt a public vegan policy! There is nothing sensical about killing and eating some animals to save others.
Thank you for your work rescuing dogs and cats, but killing some animals to save other animals is counterproductive. Please, don’t have any more fundraisers that involve selling animals’ bodies. All animals deserve our compassion, even fish. I heard you’re selling dead fish at some of your upcoming fundraisers. Did you know scientists are predicting fishless oceans by the year 2048 if we don’t stop taking so much sea life out of the oceans? Don’t contribute to this crisis when you fundraise!
This is my third adoptee from the ddfl. Other than an extremely rude volunteer manning the adoption desk this time when we arrived, every adoption has been wonderful. Great selection of rescuees and a relaxed environment. They were willing to stay as long as we needed after closing and the adoption counselors are always wonderful, giving us ample information to make an informed decision.
