Don't trust anyone in Grundy for mental health. Mayo and McLean recommend Northwestern family institute. I wouldn't trust anyone in Grundy or Will after Mayo. I would not trust the Illinois legal system or DCFS. This state doesn't follow the medical advice of Mayo or McLean clinic. Illinois is so far behind in mental health care. One day at Mayo I would not trust anyone in Illinois other than Northwestern. McLean clinic advised Northwestern. The public needs to know this.
Called and talked to a very inpatient woman. She told me I needed a referral to see a psychiatrist. That is absolutely not normal and a barrier for people struggling. I do not have medicaid or an HMO. I have a very good PPO plan that would not require me to have a referral. Its sad that places like this make it extremely difficult for people to get help fast. This facility cost me 2 million dollars. Trust no one here. Go to Mayo. This place is a joke after Mayo. Mayo McLean Menninger ties with northwestern. Do not trust anyone else in this state. They aren’t trustworthy.
Fly-by-night, raggedy, combative operation who will fight you at every turn if you deign to try to get your visit covered by insurance. God forbid you should need an itemized receipt to do the insurance liaison work yourself. CALL THEM, do not use MyChart, they WILL NOT communicate.
The day I found a medical referral to Mayo, nine years after the fact I went to Mayo. I wouldn't trust a doctor associated with Morris hospital nor anyone in Grundy county or Will ever again. Mayo and McLean clinic advised Northwestern. I lost 36 years of compensation after finding that medical referral. I wasn't told. This hospital along with DCFS and Amita health and the non profit Illinois health and hospital association along with legal representatives with financial ties all opposed the medical advice of Mayo and McLean... read more
