The worst hotel I have every stayed in. And I've stayed in over 100 hotels in NYC. Rude staff. Drunk loud obnoxious girls at 6pm running around like animals. Security and the staff sure were having a good time flirting with them. Waste of money. Never again. I pulled up to get my car valeted and the doormen were too focused and bust on watching the drunk girls. It was a chaotic mess. Horrible experience. The worst customer service. The worst hotel experience of my life.
If you're smart, only stay at Dream Downtown when visiting The Empire State.
If you prefer no sleep, loud and obnoxious club music until 4am every night then this is your place. I've stayed at many beautiful hotels and I will say esthetic wise it has gorgeous decor but that is ALL! The beds are feather and poke you all night, the sheets are cheap, the shower curtain didn't even close all the way causing tons of water on the bathroom floor....and the maddening noise until 4am EVERY night. The Dream Downtown is a fantastic place to stay with friendly, helpful staff that go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable! They are in a location especially convenient for those interested in the art scene, checking out Chelsea Market or the Piers, and it's the best location for Google employees (our office is literally right across the street). The next time I return to NYC, I'll definitely be spending my nights here!
Really liked everything. Clean, super cool room, loved the bar up top, staff was all great, food at the lobby lounge was delicious, just a really great stay!
