Dr. Chang is smart, but overscheduled and turnstile-like in her approach - in an office infrastrure supported by poor talent, she and her staff can be somewhat careless as a result. Lots of mistakes...medical ones. It was very stressful supervising her and her medical team to ensure they didn't make mistakes, and confidence-shaking when I caught their mistakes for them. It goes without saying that fertility treatments are a very emotional and personal experience. You need to have a fertility specialist and a team who you feel confident and comfortable with, because lets be honest you will spend a lot of time together. For me that team was Dr. Wendy Chang, her nurses and staff at SCRC. I honestly don't know how I would have made it through the experience without their support. Dr. Chang is very kind and courteous, yet knowledgeable and professional. Yes, I think her big welcome smile is pretty well known! She always return her calls on the same day. At the office, she spent a lot of time with her patients. Dr. Chang always have our questions answered. She always make sure we are well taken care of with our medications and any necessary procedures. Dr. Chang and her staff were great. Outside of having to wait longer than expected 1-2 times, I have absolutely no complaints. She is knowledgeable, caring and always follows up with a phone call. It was easy to schedule appointments when needed and the nurses were incredibly helpful and supportive.
I can't imagine anyone saying Dr. Chang doesn't have bedside manor. She's one of the nicest doctors I have ever met and I have met MANY! My husband and I have had 6 miscarriages and we have been seeing Dr. Chang for 4 years. She has worked tirelessly to help us find out what is wrong. Every appointment we have had she meets with us privately in her office and lets us stay and ask as many questions as we have. We never feel like we are being rushed. She seems genuinely concerned. She knows stuff, but has no bedside manner. She doesn't establish a relationship with the patient or seem to care. Go elsewhere for fertility - there is a lot to be said for joy, peace,and caring - things Doc Chang doesn't provide.
This is the worst doctor. She treats her patients as money tree. I and my husband had difficult to have kids, so I seek her help. She performed many procedures on me. After she did a single medical procedure (not IVF, just some procedure to clean the cysts or something, took her half hour and I rest half hour after the procedure and went home) on me and charged my insurance for over $10K , which I suspect is an insurance fraud, but I have no evidence and I have limited knowledge on this thing, I reallized this is not a RE do... read more
We absolutely LOVE Dr. Chang! After two IVF cycles with her, we have a son and twins on the way (first attempt both times). She is extremely intelligent yet not intimidating. At times we had to wait for various reasons but she was always apologetic and empathic. I would undoubtedly recommend her to anyone I know. The staff at SCRC is amazing as well. We had an unforgettable experience.
Dr. Chang is amazing. Knowledgable, kind and always returns calls.
