Dr. Chen recently removed a cyst from the corner of my eye. Something I had wanted for years, but had been told by another physician (not an Ophthalmology specialist) that no one would perform this particular surgery as the cyst was sitting on top of my tear duct. Fortuitis for me, my optometrist referred me to Dr. Chen who is a plastic surgeon specializing in eyelids. My eye surgeon recommended two doctors to correct a drooping eyelid. Dr. Chen was one of them, but I shied away from him because of some of the bad reviews here. But when a friend's doctor at the Mayo hospital said Dr. Chen was the only one he'd use for a similar surgery and his experience was great, I ignored the bad reviews and had Dr. Chen do my surgery. The office staff was good. Dr. Chen was great. He listened. He explained things clearly. He was personable. And he did a great job.
I recently had an upper and lower eye lift from Dr. Chen. The entire process was a very positive experience! Dr. Chen and his staff were very kind and put me at ease as I went through the entire process. I am also very happy with the results!
He was cordial but didn't really seem to care @ my possible surgery. To me, having eye surgery is a very big deal and I wanted to feel very comfortable in my doctor's hands. I was not. Plus his staff was not very friendly - from the initial phone call to make an appt. to all of the staff the day of the appt. I found another doctor that spent a lot of time with me and discussed in great detail what to expect etc. So glad I did not go to Chen.
Dr. Chen is an awesome doctor and I could not be happier with the results of my surgery with him, I HIGHLY recommend him. He explained everything in detail and delivered on point, an over all outstanding experience.
Dr. Chen is a great doctor and was able to explain my eye issues and the need for surgery with no problem. After that appointment everything went downhill. I spoke with the surgery center regarding my upcoming surgery including my deductible and co-pay and learned I could not afford the surgery at the time. I cancelled the surgery with the surgery center explaining why. Since then Dr. Chen's office has charged me $250 for a surgery no-show fee and will not remove. Office mgr never in office...
