I waited for 2 hours (not the dr’s fault, he was called at the ER). Not a word of apology. The dr was very curt and dispatched me in 5’ - but it was a clear and reassuring diagnosis so no complaint.
Changed my dialysis to the best!
Dr Unger has been very professional & forthright with all that wealth of experience & knowledge. I feel very fortunate to have him as a surgeon.
Dr. Unger took time with me to ask about my health and well being during my office visit. He was very kind and patient and interested in everything that I told him. He is a good listener. His bedside manner, knowledge and skill are excellent. He is very reassuring and answered all my questions during my procedures. Yes, there is a long wait at his office, but it is worth it!
Dr Unger saved my life.I have had 8 surgeries in the past year.Dr Unger ,his staff and associates have gone above and beyond to take care of me any time any hour of the day. They are beyond caring,compassionate,professional and skilled.

Dr. Unger has performed 3 surgeries on me brilliantly in the past year. First one started with a ruptured Colon resulting in a colostomy bag, then a colostomy reversal and lastly reparation of a hernia caused by my aggressive return to exercise. He expertly, and kindly, handled all 3 and graciously accommodated my requests for surgery prior to the end of the year (to save me money with insurance). I would highly recommend Dr. Unger for emergency or non-emergency work.
Had a hernia repair done about 2 1/2 years ago. Recovery was horrible. I have never been the same since. Dr. Unger was always very accessible and professional, And his staff was always great. I don’t know how the outcome could’ve been so poor. Regret it everyday.
