Office NEVER answers phone or voicemail. Prescribed my wife medication that needed secondary authorization from insurance. Was told that 'we are a small office and that takes too much time, we only prioritize seizure prescriptions.' Incredibly LAZY and UNPROFESSIONAL.

I had a craniotomy at Vandy at 17 to remove a benign glioma that was causing seizures. I have not had a seizure since the day prior to my surgery. That was over four years ago. As I turned 21, I unfortunately had to find a new neurologist in Knoxville. My neurologist has been reducing my anti-epileptic medication over the last two years as an attempt to eventually completely discontinue the prescription. This has been completely successful as I have not even had withdrawal seizures. I was referred to East Tennessee Neuro Cli... read more

I went to see Dr. Al-Kabbani about numbness in my feet. I think it was the most fun I ever had at a doctor visit. Obviously ethnic, with a heavy accent, Dr. Kabbani put me at ease with his constant comical banter. The process was a little uncomfortable (involving mild electrical shocks) but the doctor kept me in a good mood throughout, making an unpleasant test bearable, and even fun.I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Dr. Kabbani is the best neurologist in Knoxville , TN. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of neurology. He is very matter of fact and tells you just how it is. If you want him to help you , you must follow his advice and take all your medications as directed. He will answer all questions you ask of him. The office is very good at calling in your medication refills. If you want a Dr. who can help you he is the neurologist to go to. I have been going to him for over 20 years and I would not go anywhere else.

My insurance is not the best. I was finally able to be seen by Dr. Kabbani after spending years complaining about a large collection of symptoms (which he was not interested in) and having obtained a long list of diagnoses. Dr. Kabbani did an EEG which showed some spikes. Though I could have told him these were muscle spasms if I had known there was a need, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. After I had tried a number of anti-seizure meds unsuccessfully, Dr. Kabbani told me I should get a VNS implant. I asked before surgery and ... read more

It is a sad state we live in when the Neurologist, who took an oath to care for you, is more concerned about the insurance non-payment than that of your health and wellbeing. I have Epilepsy and Migraines. I paid them $420.00 in cash for the September appointment. The insurance apparently had a few questions about that visit but the Doctors office just called me today. I had no idea it had not been taken care of. My appointment was supposed to be tomorrow for my injections. I go every three months and it cost about $500.00 o... read more

I had my first appointment with Dr. Al-Kabbani this morning. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with him. He thoroughly examined my history, physical, and medical concerns. I also liked his humor and professionalism. I felt extremely comfortable and highly recommend him! The staff members are kind, pleasant, and caring!

To put it shortly, he is terrible. I have seen him for five years, you wait for hours and talk to him for maybe 1.5-2 minutes, then he writes refills and leaves. He most recently screwed me out of getting my dream job because he was TOO LAZY to write 3 sentences on a piece of paper and sign it giving me clearance to work the same type of job I have worked for the past five years!!! Save your trouble and go elsewhere please.
