I had open Inguinal hernia surgery on Jan. 9, 2025. Couldn’t be happier with the whole process. Being 2 weeks out I can say I’ve had only minor discomfort. No extra pain meds needed for me.
I'm feeling so much better a week after my hernia surgery. I want to thank Deb and her staff for being so kind upon my arrival in quickly going over the paperwork and allaying my anxiousness for this surgery. Dr. Conte is a delight and was a wonderful surgeon. The surgery team was above and beyond before and after surgery. I highly recommend Iowa Specialty Surgeons as being both professional and very empathetic to their patients. Thank you again for helping me along my healthcare journey.
My experience with Dr. Conte and his staff was amazing ( in a good way ). They made me feel like I was their only care. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. What a blessing they were to me and my family. Thank you Dr Conte and your wonderful staff.
Highly knowledgeable about the type of defect I had, made me feel comfortable throughout the consult. Was open to tailoring the procedure to meet my specific needs and goals. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome, virtually pain free 48 hours after the procedure and was able to manage the pain with ice, acetaminophen and ibuprofen.
Excellence all the way. Definitely recommend!
Everyone was GREAT!!! From the moment we walked in everyone was amazing. Deb, Dr. Conte's nurse, was there to answer questions and help us along the way. Dr. Conte was great. He was reassuring regarding the surgery and what to expect, which put us at ease. Audry was there to help with any questions (thanks for finding out if I could get in the pool !). I haven't felt this good in YEARS!! Only regret was waiting so long. Highly recommend this great team!! Thank you everyone !!!
The no referral needed nature of this practice left me take my health care into my own hands. Getting an appointment was quicker than expected and the office staff really took care of getting all my forms done. Surgery went well and the doctor really took the time during my follow-up appointment to make sure I was doing good.
Everyone here was so kind, thoughtful, professional and "bend over backwards" helpful! I LOVE DEB!!!! She is the best and has helped me with everything from setting up my appointments, getting my pre-authorizations, and refills. Probably more as she is so thorough, as are the rest of them! Very highly recommend this place!!!!
The people that helped me throughout the day were amazing! Friendly, Kind, Thoughtful and very, very pleasant!! Having surgery is never fun but everyone made the entire process relaxing and smooth!
