If I would have listened to this Doctor, I would not be alive today. After having several gastro problems, months of problems... he did a colonoscopy and missed the fact that I had a mesh implant that had totally twisted up my intestines, part of my bladder, my sigmoid colon, appendix, and large bowel. Resulting in all of these having to be partially and/or totally removed in an 8 hour unexpected emergency surgery! Thank God I didn't listen to him. He said I had IBS, and my colonoscopy was fine and sent me home with medicine... read more
Not good. Go elsewhere. Anywhere.
This Doctor is unreachable and unresponsive for important issues. I will avoid like the plague.
Dr. Patel and his staff constantly reschedule me and are late to the appointments. While Dr. Patel may be competent, I struggle to understand how the practice is booked 4-6 weeks out, then need to reschedule every time. My procedure was rescheduled, and my follow up has been rescheduled three times so far. They are not responsive and appear to only funnel patients through so they can bill the insurance companies. I am actively looking for a new provider as I feel they are incapable of providing the services necessary for my ... read more
My wife has been with Dr Patel for about 4 years, after scheduling issues with his staff(basically she would call, leave a message and they would never call back)When this was brought to his attention he attempted to mildly threaten her. Since then he has been declining her medication. We now are going to another doctor in the hopes of receiving better care.
I've been seeing Dr. Patel for about 10 years and have definitely seen a decline in his caring manner. He told me alot of wrong information so I suffered another infection because of that. He seems only interested in the money he gets for all the procedures he does. I will not be going back.
Been with Dr Patel almost 30 yrs. he has taken good care of me and some family members. Listens Takes his time. Cares about his Patients.
Dr Patel has taken care of my chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic stones for several years and I would go to no other Doctor. I do not live in Colorado and travel over 750 miles each way twice a year because he is the best and most professionally accomplished physician I have seen. Very few physicians in the US have his level of expertise in his specialty. His caring and concern for his patient is exemplary. His medical assistants go above and beyond the typical care for patients as well.
I was treated as if on an assembly line. He spent less than 5 minutes the last appointment telling me "eat vegetables" but when I reminded him of the vomiting he told me to put them through a blender. (he only was happy if doing a "procedure"). Very condescending. Was recently told not to go back to him as he is "dangerous" in his lack of ability or follow up.
Dr. Patel has a 4.5 star rating with 471 reviews.
