I have never written an online review of anything before but i feel compelled to do so after my experience with Dr. Dimattina. When I went in for my consultation with Dr. D, he was empathetic and candid about my chances of getting pregnant, and generally very encouraging. I walked out of his office with great hope and optimism. The minute we began treatment, his personality completely changed and in the end, his interactions with me caused nearly as much anxiety and stress as did my infertility. He has written a book of comm... read more

I had IVF 3 yrs ago thru Dr. D and had a successful pg on the 1st try. He performed my frozen embryo transfer this past Dec., and I'm now pg with my 2nd child. I understand the general sentiment of what people say about his bedside manner, but I honestly think that your impression of him depends on your outcome of treatment, which, admittedly, is a highly emotionally-fraught process. I, too, found Dr. D.'s style to be somewhat arrogant at first, but his track record backs up his personality. If he were full of empty promises... read more

I'm very shocked to see some of the negative comments on this post. We have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. D and his staff. Dr. D was very straightforward and thorough in discussing our options and best course of action. While he doesn't sugar-coat anything, he certainly was never condescending or arrogant. He's a very nice man, fun to talk to and clearly loves his work - he makes miracles! My husband and I had a healthy baby through ivf last year and are expecting a second child later this year through frozen ... read more

Dr. Dimattina and Dominion provided excellent service and care. The Dominion staff are some of the nicest and caring people around. We got pregnant on the first time using Natural IVF. It was a fairly easy and simple process and I would highly recommend Dr. D, the practice and Natural IVF.

Dr. Dimattina is one of the most professional and knowledgeable doctors I have ever worked with. I have recommended him and his practice to many of my friends who are having infertility issues. After working with him and the rest of the staff through two successful pregnancies, I have nothing but positive things to say about him. He always took whatever time we needed to talk through our questions and ensured they were answered fully. If you want to have the best medical care and to deal with a practice who knows you by name... read more

Dr Dimattina has appeared in puff pieces in "Washingtonian" magazine presenting himself as some kind of God. That's his problem - a God complex. He is incredibly callous and arrogant. But he's dealing with human beings not battery hens. Our feeling was that he only cared about his statistics - we weren't a good risk for him so he told us IVF was not the right route to take and suggested adoption. We went elsewhere, got pregnant the first time with IVF (a wonderful daughter) and are now expecting our second child. If we'd rel... read more

Our experience with Dr Dimattina was really good and it spans over 4 years. We first saw him around Apr 04 and my wife was pregnant in Nov 04 after an IVF-ICSI procedure and delivered a health baby boy. Recently, my wife had a frozen embryo transfer procedure and she is pregnant once again. Hope and pray it goes smooth. Regarding Dr Dimattina, I would say he is very knowledgeable and caring. My wife had to go through a lot of roller coaster rides emotionally and he tried to assure and comfort her. I found him to give you ans... read more

Do not go to this doctor if you are at all interested in someone who has any compassion or people skills. He is arrogant, condescending and in his own words treats you like a 'science experiment'.

Dr. DiMattina refused to answer basic questions about the risks/benefits or advantages about treatments he recommended. Was generally very condescending and quite rude. For instance, instead of explaining why Clomid wasn't the right choice, he said "if I were in a debate arguing why Clomid would be the wrong choice here, I would win." He was just uncooperative in explaining even in basic terms. Plus he was MIND-BLOWINGLY rude to me. I wouldn't care if I got pregnant as a result of his treatment, i guess, but does he have to ... read more
