I had a hip replacement and this was a follow up visit. The doctor who did my surgery is no longer with Athens Orthopedic. This was my first visit with Dr. Florence and he was very professional and kind. He was very thorough and answered all my questions.

Had foot surgery yesterday. Dr Florence and team were great. All communications before, during and after surgery were excellent.
No. I would only go back just to tell him how disappointed I was with my appointment! He was in too big of a hurry. Did not explain anything. Did not introduce himself. Was in the room less that 5/8 minutes. Ordered a medicine I cannot take. I have no idea what is wrong with my foot and he seemed the least bit interested! I asked more questions than he did and he never gave me any explanation. He was in and out! Never said come back to see me if it’s not better...nothing! Didn’t even request a follow-up.
Athens orthopedic office visit Covington, Ga. 2-20-2020. All employees efficient and courteous. I give 5 stars to Dr. Florence a caring professional very kind, attentive to your problems and needs.
Office is very organized and accommodating. Dr was friendly and took time to answer my questions.
Since Dr. Florence grew up in the same town that I did, I felt like I had a connection with him even before I met him. He was calm, comforting and professional, yet very friendly during my office visit. He did surgery on my heel and was a pro at the hospital. If you need a foot doctor, he’s the man. He is the BEST!
Dr. Florence is an excellent surgeon. I never even needed a walker or cane after surgery. Only had minimal pain. Only took pain medication two days. Then one Acetaminophen a day max was enough. Nothing after six weeks. Had worse knee pain before surgery than any time afterwards after first two days. Highly recommend Dr. Florence.
I feel that when you finally make the decision to visit a doctor you are seeking his knowledge and expertise. After a casual and warm introduction he asked what was going on with my foot. He listened, asked questions while examining my foot and then provided good time for dialogue between us. When discussing the possibility of surgery he offered new insights and out comes.
