Dr. Schefkind is a very thorough, professional and knowledgeable physician. I have had two cataract surgeries with him and he kept me on course, providing excellent care, in spite of my last minute reservations. I highly recommend him.
Dr Schefkind's kind and compassionate chair-side manner is second only to his competency as a physician. I trust NOONE else with my eyes.
Dr. Schefkind is modern science with an old school ethics. His operation is first rate, timely and effective. I work with doctors as part of my job and I can not tell you how rate it it to find someone of this caliber and dedication to his patients.
He seems to me to be very competent, based primarily on the professionalism of his office space and demeanor. I was told several years ago by a different ophthalmologist that I had the beginnings of retina damage from sun exposure, and Dr. Schefkind told me that was not correct after a thorough exam. I trust Dr Schefkind more than my previous doctor. On two occasions he has given me trial packs of daily wear contact lenses for my occasional SCUBA trips. (I don't normally wear contacts.)
