Dr. Schefkind is a superior ophthalmologist. He is knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and personable. I highly recommend him.
I'm a regular patient of Dr. Schefkind but had an urgent issue last week, pain and tears in one eye. The practice fit me in that day; technicians and doctor performed a thorough and gentle exam. Fortunately the problem was relatively minor, inflammation of the cornea. Dr. Schefkind prescribed eye drops that quickly relieved the pain. He also scheduled follow-up a few days later and gave good advice to hopefully prevent another incident like this. Short wait for appointment. Efficient and very professional exam by technician. Dr. Schefkind always kind and informative. Seems to treat patients from where they are coming from—answers any questions kindly
The moment Dr Schefkind walked into the examining room, he made me feel comfortable. I instinctively felt that he was an excellent ophthalmologist. He diagnosed my condition as an infected right eye. I had thought that my red and swollen eye was caused by my rubbing it hard. I thought it was a bruised eyelid. I had let it go for four days thinking time would heal it. When I realized I needed to see a good doctor, I chose Dr Schefkind on the advice of many friends who see him. He is well known.
Wait was brief even though there were many patients. Technicians were attentive, patient and skilled. Received non-rushed session with Dr. Shefkind and good advice about what was possible or not with eyeglasses prisms for my deteriorating eye muscles (due to age and prior surgeries) and about possible further surgicalcorrection.
Extremely knowledgeable; takes time; answers as many questions you have; explains well; friendly and courteous; not rushed; looks to prevent future problems; helpful staff; efficient operation and usually on time.
Knowledgeable staff, clean equipment, through examination. Patients of different ages and backgrounds were in the waiting room and all were treated with dignity and respect.
100% performance/espertise
Everyone on staff is professional and nice. I am glad I found Dr. Schefkind's office. He is thorough and I never feel rushed.
