Going to her started off well, but her ideas about high cholesterol are out-dated and not in accordance with the latest guidelines. I felt bullied about not wanting to eat only plants - she seems to view that you either eat plants or you eat animals; even though my diet is mostly plants, I don't want to restrict my eating to only plants. Even with two Insurance programs they called shortly before my scheduled visit and cancelled my appointment after I indicated I would not pay out of pocket. Waste of time. Just indicate you want private pay so potential patients don't waste their time and have to look for another physician after your cancel.
She is professional, intelligent, compassionate and thoughtful. She is through in her exams and she takes excellent care of me — and I have many complex medical issues. She also treats several of my family members and friends, who have thanked me for the referral. When I go to the office, I get such a welcome from her staff — from the front desk folks to her physician’s assistant to the lab tech who handles the blood draws in the office! She follows my complex issues very well and I always feel confident in her care.
Dr Kalra has been my primary care physician for about a decade, I was one of her first patients when she and Dr Seem opened their practice. We moved to Maryland last year after spending 50 years in Michigan. A friend recommended r. Kalra. She has been a wonderful doctor for me. Her treatment has improved my overall health considerably in less than a year. She is warm and caring and so is her staff. I was amazed at the amount of time she spent with me during my visits. I would highly recommend Dr. Kalra as a primary care physician to people of all ages.
Dr. Kalra is my physician for 6 years. After moving in Rockville 8 years ago I've tried 3 different clinics before found Family Medicine in Shady Grove. It's definitely one of the best clinic with one of the best physician and staff. I recommend Dr. Kalra to everybody.
Dr. Kalra is my family physician - she is absolutely the most caring physician I have ever met. You can count on her to give you both tips/home remedies as well as meds. She will never over medicate or send you for unnecessary tests or procedures. She is extemely clear regarding the care pathway. Also, she is graet about getting back to you on the app. To top it off, she will make an effort to fit you in same day if you are really sick and need to be seen. I have never met a physician as amazing
I do not recommend this doctor because she does not value others time. It’s unacceptable to have someone wait more than 40 mins after their scheduled appt time especially if you arrive 15 mins early. This is all the time with her. All the time!!! I have had it. I will not be coming to this office again! Totally unacceptable. I do not recommend!!
Oh, my gosh -- Dr. Kalra is simply outstanding. The level of care and her knowledge are absolutely outstanding! And she called me to find out how I was feeling the next day. To add to this, the office is immaculate and her staff are friendly and professional. I think this practice is unusually good, with Dr. Manisha Kalra at the helm.
