Dr. Spencer is highly skilled as a dermatologist. Her "bed side manner" goes lacking. It would be helpful if she were more interactive with her patient at the time of service. When I had a small cyst removed, she left the room after closing the wound with no directions on post operative care. The assistant during surgery left me with little follow up care. Printed instructions were not given.
Waited several months for an appointment, waited in the waiting room 1.5 hours to see her. The visit lasted 5 minutes, she did not look over the moles on my body, even though I was told she would do a full body check for the first visit. She prescribed a crime that was irritating and told me to come back in 6 months. Yet she billed medicare for a 30 minute visit.
I worked for many years with a plastic surgeon. I would say Dr. Spencer gives the same thorough examination as you would expect from someone with high clinical standards.
At my first appointment, Dr. Spencer came in and did her job. However, the feeling was cold and she was not overly friendly. She answered my questions but did not go into detail with my medication- such as side effects and maybe to start it every other day or so since it can be drying on the skin. I did not even get a print out at the end of my visit to inform me what she diagnosed me with. I will not be going back to her and may try another associate in her practice.
I scheduled a first-time apt. with Dr. Spencer for 8:30am, thinking I would be in and out. I waited AN HOUR before she actually came into the room and when she did, she never offered an apology for being late and barely interacted with me. I will NOT be back!
I am very satisfied with the professionalism and service that Dr. Spencer provided. She was very thorough with her initial exam, listened to my concerns, explained in detail her diagnosis and most importantly, she had a friendly attitude, which helped quell fears. I would definitely recommend Dr. Spencer to friends and family members. Thank you for treating my skin concerns and being prompt with the wait time.
The experience felt very transactional. She barely looked up from her clip board to even look at my face. She asked a series of questions regarding my acne, template matched my responses, and prescribed me medications that had potential reactions that were WORSE than the acne itself. I attempted to ask questions regarding my research into dairy etc, and received short answers, writing off my concerns. I did not feel like my time was valued and I felt I was being rushed out. I would not recommend
While accomplished she failed to follow up after having an assistant do the freezing removal. Next day was if it never happened. Found a new Dr. and saw how wrong my treatment was. Accounting office is worse. Treatment was billed incorrectly as a cosmetic and was not and was forced to pay as they would not correct their mistake. New Dr. office charged me correctly as a non cosmetic issue. I would NEVER use this practice again.
