Dr. Schmidt did my surgery on June 25th and after 3 months I'm off my Prilosec for heartburn. It'll be 5 months since my surgery Nov 25th. I needed to lose weight to have a hip replacement which I'm glad to say I'm having in January. I don't hardly use my cane right now because of the weight I have lost. I lost 21 pounds pre-op and I am down as of today 54 lb post-op for a total of 75pds. No complications whatsoever. Thank you Dr. Schmitt!!
I was sleeved about 2 months ago by Dr. Schmitt. He is my hero. He is so kind and I’m still amazed at how he assured me that I’d be fine and I AM!! I’m completely fine and so full of hope! Dr. Schmitt gave me my life back! His surgical suite and nurses and everyone that assisted were top notch!! You can easily tell and feel how passionate Dr. Schmitt is, I’m sooooo thankful I found him!! I traveled from another state to have surgery and I’m so glad he was my surgeon!!!!!

Today I went for my 3 mths checkup. I was astonished on how far I've come in such a short amount of time. I cried tears "of Joy" after seeing the 2 photos side by side. I can't wait to see the next 3 months body change. I have a very special place in my heart for Dr Schmitts an his staff. I could not have made it without him. GOD to be the glory using Dr Schmitts hands in doing his work thru him...
My husband and I had gastric sleeve surgery December 2014 and January 2015 with Dr Schmitt at Alabama Surgical Weightloss. He is a very gifted doctor, top in his class for sure. We both come though our procedures with no pains or issues and due to the sleeve surgeries we are both 100lbs lighter, no more high blood pressures, sleep apnea, knee pains, diabetes, high cholesterol. We both have tons of energy also. He also is great with follow ups and is always in contact with his patients. :)
