I was skeptical about having the sleeve surgery done after finding out I had fibromyalgia. I called to cancel my surgery and the receptionist said she would tell the doctor. Doctor Schmitt called me less than 20 minutes lately asking my fears. After talking with him, I agreed to have the surgery. Dr Lee Schmitt did great with me gastric sleeve surgery. Very professional, kind & knowledgeable! He and his staff made me feel very comfortable. It’s only been 6 months and I’m down 73 pounds. Highly recommend him.
Dr. Miles was my surgeon but Dr Schmitt has been my follow up dr since Dr Miles’ retirement. He has answered every question and been available whenever I’ve reached out
Dr. Schmitt is one on one and regardless of how big you are going in there he is not going to make you feel any type of way!!! He is there to HELP!!! And it WORKS!!!
He did my surgery 8yrs ago and it’s the best devil I’ve ever made. He took care of me. Periodt. I’m a nurse, so for me to say this, know the weight it carries! His bedside manner is awesome!
The office staff are a nightmare I’ve been 5’3 all my life until I went to this office … I spoke with my insurance before I went and they will pay but they argued that… they also argued that I didn’t have diabetes bc they couldn’t see it and I drove 3 1/2 hours …it was the worst experience I’ve ever had…. So if you are driving a distance I would think long and hard
3 years ago Dr. Schmitt performed my bariatric surgery at the AWLS center. My experience was top notch from his compassionate care, the facilities and the after care when I made it back home to AR. I traveled over 5hrs because he was researched as best in the nation. If I could do it all over again I would not choose any other place. He truly takes pride in his practice and the care of his patients. I highly recommend him and his staff.
Dr. Schmitt is an awesome surgeon! Very nice, knowledgeable and professional! He did my sleeve gastrectomy surgery in August and was wonderful!! Great, GREAT Surgeon! Go see him! :)
