I made an appointment specifically for a full-body skin cancer check with Dr. Covi. When Dr. Covi came into the exam room, I told her what I was there for, and she refused to check me all over for skin cancer. Instead, she told me to show her exactly where I wanted her to look. The whole point of the appointment was to pay her to look me over and find any concerning spots! It was terribly frustrating. She was in a hurry, pushing me to answer quickly, and didn't want to hear my concerns. I would never see her again.

It was clear from the beginning that Dr. Covi had not reviewed the referral office notes from my referring provider before entering the exam room. The information needed to care for me in a professional and positive manner was in those referral notes. After rapid fire questions with little time to answer them, I left the 15 minute encounter confused. This is the most unprofessional 15 minute encounter with a new physician I've ever experienced. I will NOT be back!

Dr. Covi has the best bedside manner of any medical professional I have seen. She always takes a personal interest in my care. I have seen Dr. Covi for skin cancer on my neck and check. She had to remove a part of my cheek that was slightly bigger that a pencil eraser. She took such care to make the incision and subsequent stitches to align with my natural smile lines that the scar in not visible today.

It seems from other reviews the high speed appointment is common. She was pleasant enough but the whole exam was very rushed. I did not like her prescription of Blu-Light. It was painful for days and after reading up on it it seems to be an old therapy that is not any more effective than spot freezing of AK's.

Dr. Covi could not have been more professional, just a super person. I had surgery for a cancer on my face, she spent over 2 1/2 hours making sure the margins were good and stitching the wound. I would definitely recommend her to anyone with skin concerns.

Dr. Covi did an excellent job removing a malignant growth from my arm. She is no-nonsense, yet down to earth. Her time is valuable and so is the patient's. She obviously thrives on doing her job -- which is surgery. She trusted her nurse to do the prep and suture removal but had concise, thorough written instructions on my responsibilities, as the patient, to have an ideal recovery. This is particularly helpful for the age challenged (like me.) I was impressed!

If you like being rushed in and rushed out, you will like Dr. Covi. My husband saw her first and she rushed through that visit but I thought maybe she had gotten behind and was trying to catch up. During my appointment, even the nurse rushed and then Dr. Covi. I had multiple concerns and she stopped me mid-stream saying we had enough to deal with! This would have been ok if she had suggested a follow appointment but she didn’t.
