Dr. White performed a procedure on when I was having difficulty peeing. He is very knowledgeable
Dr. Jonathan White has a great demeanor when talking with you and fully explains procedures and issues that may arise. He has answered all questions, listens and cares about your specific situation. He even has a sense of humor if your inclined to joke with him regarding your issues or concerns. I happen to joke around with my doctors with little subtleties to check to see if they possess a sense of humor, & Dr. White does. This, in my experience, is a rare quality in a Doctor & makes me feel more comfortable.
All visits to Dr. White have been very beneficial to me; and, in fact, the prostate cancer treatment received from him saved my life. He is exceptionally accurate in his diagnoses, clear in explanations of treatment; and professional at all times.
Dr. White is one of the best doctors I've been to. He has excellent bedside manner and is very easy to talk with. This is a great quality in any doctor, but especially in an urologist with whom you will be discussing very personal issues. He was knowledgeable and explained his opinion and rationale clearly. The only drawback of this practice (Chesapeake Urology in Wheaton) is that I found the front desk staff a little grouchy. Still, not a huge issue considering how much I liked Dr. White.

I went to this Urologist for over 6 years and found him generally unresponsive to my concerns, rushed through appointments, and overcharged for rushed visits. But worse, I experienced a loathsome disregard from staff and the Office Manager, ongoing mismanagement and wrong medical test orders, abuse by staff and an absence of basic compassion that would be expected. I also suffered a prostate infection from a biopsy performed by this Doctor that raised questions. There are better urologists!
Not open minded, seems to rush you into a biopsy before using less invasive tests. If you want to try a less invasive procedure that he does use and sends you to a specific hospital to have the test saying they are the only ones he uses and are the best, but if it comes back negative being good news after seeing him. He then tells you the only reason he sent you there is because you did not want the biopsy, which you never said, you only wanted to use less invasive tests first. Don't blame him !
