When I first met Dr Shank he told me both ankles were shot & needed replacement.Scheduled both for 2023. First one done in March & second in August.Both were highly successful and I now have full function in both ankles without pain.God Bless Dr Shank

Very professional. Calming and caring
I thought I had a severe case of tendinitis. After an office visit, X-rays, and an MRI my orthopedist said my condition was more complicated and referred me to Dr. Shank. I had a consultation with Miyoko and Dr. Shank we agreed on a plan of action to address all the problems. For best results and safest outcomes we decided on two surgeries two weeks apart. After seeing other doctors that either said there was nothing wrong or it's just arthritis take some over the counter pain reliever, Dr. Shank listened and addressed my situation. I had a lisfracture and he felt a fusion would help. He said when I was ready we could move forward. I didn't feel forced, I felt comfortable and confident in this Dr. He and his staff are all amazing, and so friendly.
I broke my foot in several places, and waited way to long to have it looked at. My primary physician recommended allowing it to continue to heal as it was, but a consult with Dr. Shank put me on the right path. He recommended correcting the improper healing of the broken metatarsal, and fixation with plates. The surgery was scheduled within a week, and now 6 month later it is hard to tell it was broken in the first place. I highly recommend Dr. Shank, and the entire staff at the Orthopedic Centers of Colorado.
