Had a colonoscopy 22 Oct at Tucson Gastroenterology Institute/Specialists. Everything was first rate start to finish, from the scheduling/prep calls, to the instructions/info (before and after), to the immaculate facility itself, to all the friendly, caring and kind staff including the receptionist, pre thru post-procedure nurse/tech care, and the doctor himself, to the followup call the next day. Dr. McNerney was friendly, personable, caring, answered questions and explained everything. Highly recommend.

I’m a 90 year old female. I was found to have a large mass on my colon. Dr McNerney was thoughtful, honest with me about the risks and possibilities. Today I had my colonoscopy. He and his staff were wonderful. Pleasant reassuring and professional. He met with me and completely explained what he had found, what procedures he had performed and gave me guidance as to my options for the next medical step for me to consider. I have no complaints. They were very communicative beforehand and it was very easy once I got to their office. All in all no problems. Everyone was very nice.

Yes highly recommended. This was my second time at the TGS facility. The staff is experienced, helpful and sensitive. For those Covid sensitive: I found the facility clean and organized; I felt safe at all times with a mask and properly separated from other patients. Dr. McNerney is a real pro and took time to carefully explain the procedure. Well done!

Had an initial appointment with Dr McNerney and was GREAT! Today I underwent Upper GI Endoscopy and it was such a pleasant experience. Even though the procedure took only about 5 min itself, his staff made me feel comfortable about everything.

BAD FOR YOUR WALLET - This was not a good experience for me because all his practice cares about is getting your money. Service and procedure were average but when it came to billing he would not speak to me directly, he just referred me to the billing department. His billing department was completely inflexible. So what should have and COULD have been coded as a routine, preventative procedure that would be fully covered by insurance they refused to code that way. Dr. McNerney and the staff at Tucson Gastroenterology were very professional, informative and caring during my Colonoscopy. They know what they are doing and knowledgeable of their profession. Had second colonoscopy with Dr McNerney. Well organized, efficient process; admin and clinical staff displayed kindness and expertise. Dr McNerney was kind and informative both pre and post procedure.
