Compassionate, judgement-free, solution oriented care.
I have severe depression and Dr. Trahan has done his best to help me. We spend our appointments talking about my recent life events and what I can do to help myself along with medication. I'm glad I'm able to see him. His staff has always been friendly to me and the most I've ever waited to see him after arriving is 10 minutes. I only wish we could chat longer during our appointments.
I feel that Dr. Trahan is too quick to push medication and dismisses any other forms of treatment. I have mild depression and have felt uncomfortable with his readiness to continually medicate me.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. Dr. Trahan was incredibly unprofessional with me, and made seriously concerning comments about my physical appearance. This was several years ago, so I was a teenager. Now, as an adult I have a better understanding of how wrong his actions were, especially since those comments were made to a young girl. With all that aside, Trahan will charge hundreds of dollars for a 15 minute session in which he will ask you minimal questions and write you off.
Doesn't care about clients, only useful if you want to spend hundreds of dollars to be shuffled through antidepressants with little say in the matter.
I saw him for 35 minutes and he told me nothing and charged me $300. He is a poor doctor and his staff is unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend him to anyone.
I previously thought Dr. Trahan was a conscientious doctor, but once I told him that I was moving out of town, his tune changed. Following our final appointment, he refused to take or return my phone calls after I had a severe reaction to one of my medications. This was only a few days after our last scheduled appointment. I guess that since he didn't expect payment for his services any longer, he had closed his door, so to speak! A complete thumbs down!!! Very unprofessional!
From the moment I met him, I felt comfortable. First, his office staff is so thorough and professional. Having a nurse do some vital signs is a plus that I've never experienced. Although, Dr. Trahan knew about meningioma brain tumors, he wasn't made aware by myself that I was a psychologically battered, DV woman and over due with medical care suffering from BRD and Complex Grief Disorder as I'm a good actress. Following the Mayo Clinic's incomplete psychiatric eval, he performed therapy.
Dr. Trahan was very professional and helped guide me to better mental wellness. I have a new fervor for life now that I'm feeling better, and it's all thanks to him!
