My children has been with Dr Yia since the beginning. All through the years she has not changed .She is still warm, friendly and willing to listen to a parent's concern. When the children were ill, appointments were not hard to get like some doctors.Now that my children are almost adults,soon we will have to leave her and hope our next primary physician will be as wonderful.
Staff and Doctor are so wonderful and trust them a lot. Both my girls go to Dr. Yia. Just wished hours were slightly better but other then their hours I'm truly happy I switched to their practice.
Dr. Yia is wonderful--always polite, good sense of humor, asks the right questions. We did not wait when recent well visit for a college physical. My son had a fever reaction to a vaccine and when I called the office the next day to double check that side effect, she immediately got on the phone! Over the years I have always gotten along with the staff--including this last time when the woman was new to me. A smile on both sides goes a long way!
My daughter is turning 13 and has been seeing Dr. Yia for about 8 years now. Even when we moved out of the area I would drive the 45 minutes to see her. Her staff is always helpful and friendly and we are never kept waiting for long. I am 100% satisfied and would never switch doctors! I'm just sad we only have 5 more years with her.
i love the care my children received with Dr. Yia, however, the staff is very unfriendly (would not hurt to smile) and rude on the phone. Dr. Yia is a fantastic doctor who knows how to mix joking with the young patients to switching to professionalism when speaking to the parent.
I think the other review said it perfectly: she has excellent rapport with the children. She gave the most thorough wellness check out of the doctors I have seen. She pretty much picked up on things with my son in 5 minutes that my old doctors couldn't in 5 well visits. I called when my child was sick and always had a same day appointment. Dr. Yia is a very good doctor and while we may not agree on everything, she is okay with my decision to hold off any more vaccines for my autistic son until I give the okay to do so if I choose. She is very helpful, escpecially when your child is sick in the middle of the night, you get to speak with her personally, not some other doctor you dont know, she's always there for her patients and their families! I reccommend her to all of my friends who really need new pediatricians (seems like most of them do)
After going seeing three other pediatricians i can honestly say Dr. Yia was BY FAR our favorite. Not only was she knowledgable, she was the first doctor who didn't dismiss our vaccine conerns. She was happy to accomodate our alternative vaccine schedule and yet certainly recommends vaccinating. she is as good as any pediatrician, yet not at all pompous, arrogant and condescending like the others we saw. DR. YIA IS A DEDICATED PEDITRICIAN, AT ALL TIMES PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE AND MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR MY CHILDREN. FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL OFFICE STAFF, ALWAYS ACCOMMODATING APPOINMENTS EVERY TIME I HAVE CALLED FOR MY CHILDREN. I HAVE GREAT COMMUNICATION WITH DR. YIA, SHE IS FLEXIBLE AND SHE IS A GREAT LISTENER, ALWAYS RESPONSIVE TO MY CONCERNS IN REGARDS TO MY CHILDREN'S HEALTH.
