It is very sad when you have to hear from a Hospice nurse the true medical condition of your father from her reading Dr. Mathes medical notes. We were completely surprised by what we were advised of when the nurse came to do her assessment to help my father with pain management for his cancer. She could not believe we (my mother, my sister and brother) did not know.
