Was my surgeon in May 2020 when I herniated 2 discs in my back. Excellent communication and support staff is solid!
Dr. Girasole is a wonderful spine surgeon. He was clear and explained everything I needed to know about my problem and what my surgery would entail. He is courteous, knowledgeable and I felt completely confident in his experience and my outcome. His staff is attentive and helps in every way they can. Marguerite handles everything you need with experience and understanding. I highly recommend Dr. Girasole.
I saw Dr. Girasole for a neck problem. After being strung along by another orthopedic group for over a year with no help I sought a second opinion. I am very happy that I did. Dr. Girasole sent me for another MRI which revealed what the problem was. I received a cortisone shot in my back by Dr. Cohen who was fantastic. I received physical therapy at the Trumbull location where staff were also fantastic. I am now feeling much better and I am very grateful for Dr. Girasole and his team.
I highly recommend Dr. Girasole. His experience as a orthopedic surgeon is exceptional. I am walking, gardening and doing things I didn't think I would ever do again. To him and his staff, a big thank you!
Dr. Girasole was quite abrupt and not overly friendly. Immediately questioned my symptoms, interrupting me and telling me "Scoliosis doesn't cause pain," until he took an x-ray and saw how severe it was. One good thing: he referred me to a good specialist, which I very much appreciate, rather than him trying to work on something that is not his specialty.
Dr. Girasole is truly an exceptional doctor. To find a surgeon that is not only brilliant in the operating room but a trusting, very knowledgable approachable and compassionate person is a rare find. I feel very confident that I am in the best care with Dr. Girasole and his entire staff. My expectations were exceeded from the initial phone call to leaving his office with a diagnosis and treatment plan in place. Dr. Girasole did both my cervical fusion and lumbar fusions. I recommend him very HIGHLY. He is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and a wonderful surgeon. I can go back to my walks, yard work, and most importantly my profession as a nurse! Thank you, Dr. Girasole!
I had suffered from low back pain for many years and was a regular at the chiropractor's office. When I herniated a disc and no other options helped, it was recommended I see Dr. Girasole. One of the hardest things for me was deciding to have spinal stenosis surgery. The easiest was choosing Dr. Girasole. He and Dr. Mintz, the staff and my therapist are the best. Everyone is outstanding and very kind. 6 months after surgery I feel better than I have in years. I highly recommend Dr. Girasole
