Dr. Girasole is by far the best spin surgeon that anyone could ask for. I had a previous spinal operation at Yale New Haven several years ago although successful for 4 years, I needed additional surgery as I could no longer stand or walk. Dr Girasole is an extremely competent surgeon. I was in extreme back pain and had tried epidurals for relief to no avail. I was 80 years old and knew I could not continue to enjoy my life in pain. Dr. Girasole explained the surgery required in a calm, comforting and competent manner. He helped me to move on and agree to surgery. After a laminectomy and spinal fusion, followed by at home rehab I gradually recovered and today am able to walk pain free and enjoy my life.

I would recommend Dr. Girasole to all my friends and family. He is an excellent surgeon. He addressed all of my concerns and questions. I always know I’m in good hands with him. His MA Jennifer and scheduler Marguerite are professional and very please to work with.

Dr. Girasole is not only a very skilled surgeon, he is also very kind and compassionate, and truly cares about his patients. Before having surgery by Dr. Girasole, I had a hard time walking without a limp, and couldn’t stand longer than 10 minutes without severe back and leg pain. Dr. Girasole is an incredibly skilled surgeon & medical profession. I have undergone spinal fusion several times for separate events, and his expertise has been exceptional each time. He is very compassionate and exhausts all medically available treatments before even considering surgical interventions. Dr. Girasole and his staff are fantastic. I went to him with horrible back pain after going through all options, I had a spinal fusion surgery. The surgery went great and after a short period of recovery I feel like I have my life back! His office staff have been very friendly and helpful through every step of the process and Dr. Girasole took the time to explain everything I should expect both pre & post operation. I would highly recommend.
