Last year at this time, I was in excruciating pain everyday. After trying many non-invasive measures, I finally began to consider something I had sworn I would not--surgery. Dr. Girasole, his staff and Dr. Mintz were absolutely amazing. Their knowledge, compassion and experience resulted a smooth, successful process. I had a spinal fusion at L4/L5 and am now pain free and back to my active lifestyle. I highly recommend Dr. Girasole and his team and will be forever grateful to them!
Dr.Girasole did an excellent job on my back fusion and was available to me whenever I needed post surgery. His assistant Erica and staff was very courteous as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing any surgery. I went to other dr’s and took other routes to try and help my back but he was the one that was straightforward with me and was very correct with his diagnosis and what needed to be done.
Dr Girasole is an excellent orthopedic surgeon, to whom I would highly recommend, to a friend or family member.Dr Girasole cured me of chronic back and leg pain. Dr Girasole told me what to expect and how long for recovery.Dr Girasole was informative and had excellent bed side Manor. Thank you Dr Girasole!
Dr. Girasole operated on my back in April 2017. At the time, I couldn't walk without pain. He is the greatest orthopedic surgeon I have ever seen and I highly recommend him to anyone with severe back pain. I saw him for a second opinion, and it's a good thing I did. I was walking the day after my surgery pain free. Thank you Dr. Girasole!
Unlikely to refer ANYONE to him. His bedside manner was condescending and demeaning. He would barely listen to my history and his 'physical assessment' was grossly inadequate. I am a healthcare professional myself and his poor bedside manner makes me cringe. He essentially told me to work on my core and everything would be fine...ummmm, I have 2 herniated discs. I think this may be more than a core issue! He did not listen, did not empathize and was extremely uninterested in anything I said.
Did back surgery on spine Was very professional and prompt in services. . Follow up was quick and easy. Would definitely use him again..
Dr. Girasole did my discectomy almost 12 years ago and I was pain free for 11 years. He was great then and when my primary care suggested now was the time to look at spinal fusion, I went back to Dr. Girasole. I am THRILLED that I did. He was kind and compassionate, took time with me, and his staff was wonderful. They all seemed to understand my pain level and were kind. 6 months post-op & I feel amazing - so he did great work too. I am so thankful to him. I will be skiing this winter :)
Dr Girasole and Dr Mintz performed C6-C7 cervical fusion on my spine (St Vincent's Hospital) on October 3 2016. Prior to surgery, I was in intolerable pain. After surgery, I was home that evening and back to work the following week. A year later, my follow-up visits are over and I'm left with a small scar and infinite gratitude towards everyone who put my life back together. Thank you Dr Girasole and Dr Mintz, and thank you to the excellent staff you've assembled.
