Dr. Shahan and his staff are meticulous and friendly. PA Juan Kojima has to be one of the best PAs in the business. Juan spotted an area that was to me a freckle, and turned out to be a melanoma in situ. Knowing that I've had a lifetime of sun damage, they watch me like a hawk. Comforting to know!

Dr. Shahan has a busy practice, however, I believe he spends an appropriate amount of time during my visits. My care has been good. The environment is dated, however it is clean.
Very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and trustworthy. You always feel safe and in good hands with Dr. Shahan and his fine staff.
I have been visiting Dr. Shahan's office for 5 years now and I have always been treated with respect. His office staff are friendly and professional. I have never waited any longer than 10 minutes to be seen. His PA Juan Kojima is very friendly and professional as well.
Dr. Shahan provides exceptional Dermatology services to me and my wife. Additionally, his Physician Assistant-Certified Juan Kojima is truly exceptional in his own right. Extremely conscientious, qualified and caring. All providers and the staff are attentive, most competent, and gracious. Quite frankly, if you are in the San Diego area and need Dermatology, call this office.
Dr Shahan and his staff are empathetic and professional. My wife and I go twice a year for skin checks. When they do find issues they explain the process and treatment. They also don't want to see you damage more skin so they teach patients how to be proactive . I highly recommend this Dr and his practice
Wow was I impressed. Dr. Shahan was professional and efficient in my diagnosis and treatment. He has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff was courteous and friendly in an age we don't see much of anymore. If you need a dermatologist in San Diego, Dr Fred Shahan is your man!
