I have been seeing Dr. Shahan for about 18 years. I visit his office about three times a year to check/treat my skin issues. He and his team come up North to the Encinitas Scripps Hospital once a week, which is very convenient for me and my family. I highly recommend Dr. Shahan’s office. Trust is very important when it comes to health.

Dr. Shahan is one of the best dermatologists I have ever had. I have a lifelong history of psoriasis and with his help have been able to keep flare ups to a minimum and achieve completely clear skin that I haven't had for years. He also diagnosed another painful skin condition that I had for 16 years and successfully treat it to where now it is going away. I can't thank him enough for his care.
He has a non existent bedside manner. And while I still undressed, he couldn't wait to leave the room and had the door open to leave while I was still asking a question.
Dr. Shahan has treated me for about 8 years. I have had a half dozen melanoma skin cancers that he has recognized in their very early stages. He is very thorough and has great patient interaction. His staff is excellent, waiting times very short and all around great DR/Patient relationship. Dr. Shahan is our family dermatoligist. My husband, my daughters and I have all been pleased with his care. His office staff is friendly and helpful.
