Dr.Sharara's fertility center has the highest success rate in the DC region, and for certain age categories it stands first in the country. And in IVF treatment, this is very important criteria than anything else. The staff is very friendly,helpful and well informed. We've been in Northern Virginia for 15 years. This areas is blessed to have some of the best doctor's in the country. Dr. Sharara is probably the best doctor I've met - ever. He's diligent, precise, tough on you (you need to do your part), but it pays off in the end. He is a genius and his staff is caring and they run a smooth operation. Dr Sharara is the best doctor in treating Reproductive medicine related issues. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and follows an organized and extensive research based approach to treat each individuals problem. Every time I visited his office, I felt confident with his treatments. He diagnosed my problem quickly, put me and my husband on correct medicine and performed a very smooth surgery on me and closely monitored my progress after surgery too. I had a uterine septum condition. I had gone to Dr. Sharara's office many months to get blood work done, god knows why! And finally when I asked about the septum, he said he will operate on it. So, why did I have to visit him many months ... probably to make money of my insurance. Also his idea of NOT removing the septum but cutting/splitting it, made no sense! When I heard of this method, I got out of there as soon as possible. Got my septum removed by an other doctor (without bloodwork!) and now have a 1 1/2 year old baby.
Dr Sharara and his staff are the best. We tried for a year to get pregnant and finally we were referred to Dr S and within a couple months were were finally PREGNANT! It’s hard to believe that one year ago, we underwent our first and only round of IUI! Our son is the greatest thing to ever happen to us and it wouldn’t have been possible with his help. I highly recommend Dr Sharara to any couples that are experiencing infertility!
Very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. Took time to analyze our files and even asked questions other area physicians didn't in order to pinpoint cause of infertility. Very personalized attention and takes time to figure out what is best for each couple as opposed to rushing us through the "mill" like some of the larger practices in the area.
I've read through the other comments on this review and am surprised that some patients had such bad experiences. My husband and I were very impressed with Dr. Sharara's knowledge and fertility plan. Everytime I went in for an appointment he was already thinking ahead to the next step. I liked that he promotes a healthy lifestyle and tried to fix my issues without any drugs. Dr. Sharara is the best! That's all I have to say. From his receptionist to his nurse, everyone is compassionate and on time. They remember your names and treat you like a human rather than a number. The doctor is always smiling and has a positive vibe around him. He diagnosed my problem right away when another prominent specialist in the area had told me everything was just ok. After reading through the other comments, I have noticed that some claim that Dr. S "rushes you out the door" and has a poor bedside manner. Let me explain something...Dr. Sharara is a very smart man. He talks quickly and keeps a PROMPT office. I know that many women seeking fertility treatment want someone to take a lot of time to let the patient talk about their situations. But he is here to help and he likes to get to the point.
