Absolutely do not reccomend this practice. The staff was mostly OK, but Dr. Sharara does not listen to questions, rushes you out the door and makes you feel pretty horrible. Uses scare tactics frequetly and never takes the time to listen to your concerns or answer questions. If it is not on his "checklist" he dismisses your questions in an offhanded manner. Spend your $10,000 - $40,000 somewhere else where the Dr actually cares about you and takes the time to understand your personal situation.
Dr. Sharara and his staff were so pleasant to work with. Not only did they help us have our twins, but they became more like friends than just doctors/nurses. THey treat each patient like a person and not just a "number/case". It was truly a pleasure gong to them and although I'm thrilled to have my children, I will really miss seeing Dr. Sharara and his staff. They did everything possible to help me and my husband find out the problem related to our infertility and correct it. We can't begin to thank them enough for all the... read more
I was not at all impressed by this practice. The staff was rude many times. The doctor and the nurses forget to give important instructions about your treatment. They have the best accounting department though who will never forget any charges. Lot of times I got the invoices wondering what these co-pays were even if I paid the co-pays at every visit whenever applicable. I had to call them for clarification but the answers were not always satisfactory. I couln't develop any rapo with this clinic and went through lot of unnec... read more
After 8 years of OB/GYN's in our area and numerous test our insurance recommened Dr. Sharara. After several meetings with him he said he could help with me and my husband making some lifestyle changes. He changed my medication, I lost some weight and the first time of IUI procedure we became pregnant however lost it after 6 - 7 weeks. He was very honest and very sincere in our lost and recommended we take a couple of months and try again. With the lost we found I had a blood disorder and made the modification for that. We tr... read more
I saw Dr Sharara after failing multiple IVF cycles at the largest Infertility center in the DC area, and was told I needed donor egg. His attention to detail and personal approach were key. I was pregnant after the first attempt using my own eggs! Everyone was great, especially the nurses. I recommend him to everyone struggling with infertility.
Dr. Sharara was not a helpful and caring provider. His willingness to listen to questions and concerns was nonexistant. He interupted and would cut off questions. His answers were minimal in information and he used scare tactics to convence me that I needed expensive infertility treatment right away. Scared by his statements that I would be infertile in two years, I immediately got two other opinions from other OB/Gyns that also specialize in infertility. After my tests were analyzed by these physicians,I was told that my ha... read more
He is an excellent doctor. Nice bedside manner. I had a laparotomy done by him and it heeled very fast and my Gynecology appreciated him and said he had done a very neat job. The staffs are very helpful, timely and overall very kind. He gave us hope and made our dream of having a child on own come true. I always recommend him to everyone.
I have been to many dr's in my life time and never have I experienced such a poor bedside manner or had such a negative experience overall. Dr. Sharara appears to have very little empathy for patients and often does not appear to be interested in actually investigating what might be wrong and how to fix it. He seems to have his own way of doing things (a canned approach to infertility) and questions/concerns from the patient were not welcome and passed off in a dismissive manner. His office staff seems very nice but they see... read more
I would definitely recommend Dr Sharara. He has been so great with me and my husband. He has been very aggressive in finding the cause of my infertility. I have 2 children and never once did he make me feel guilty about seeking treatment. He made it very clear, up front, that he wanted us to try on our own before any medical intervention. He is always friendly and makes a point of acknowledging my presence, even when he is super busy. His office staff is very friendly and helpful, which is a great change from most of the doc... read more
