I came to Dr. Shaara after having multiple unsuccessful treatments with another DC area fertility clinic. The experience was night and day. This is a smaller facility (no weekends, if doctor travels no appts) who genuinely care about you. Dr. Shaara stays current with research, publishing and speaking around the world. He knew what it would take to get me pregnant including a regimen of diet and supplements to get my body and eggs ready. This is our second round going to Dr. Sharara. We went to him last year. During the first round of testing before any kind of treatment, we found we were pregnant. Unfortunately, due to complications, we had a second trimester loss of the baby. As we had had such a positive experience with Dr. Sharara, we chose to go to him again. Dr. Sharara is amazing. My wife and I had gone to a number of other doctors in the local area regarding our fertility issues and did not seem to be making progress in having our second child at the age of 40. Dr. Sharara is the best there is in this area in terms of success. We looked at his very high success rates before we went to visit him and then called his office for an appointment. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Sharara and VCRM. Dr. Sharara is unbelievably knowledgeable in the area of fertility, friendly, always on time, caring, and I appreciated his no-nonsense approach. I went to see Dr.Sharara December2010 after trying to conceive for 4 years. After a couple of tests it turned out that I had pcos and my husband's sperms were not active:( Dr.Sharara put me on metformin and after a couple of months I got pregnant, naturally! We were planning to have an IUI that month after I got my period but it never came:) I love Dr. Sharara and his staff. They've always been very helpful and supportive!
I had a wonderful experience at VCRM. I originally went to Dr. Sharara in 2010 for egg freezing. Later, in 2011, I decided to pursue IVF. I am currently expecting twins and couldn't be more thrilled about it. I can recommend Dr. Sharara, his nurses, Debbie & Jo, or his front desk staff highly enough. I sought Dr. Sharara because he had the highest success rates in IVF in the DC Metro area. However, beyond medical expertise, he and his staff offer the best in care, compassion and sensitivity.
Dr Sharara and his staff are wonderful. Always welcoming and accommodating with appointments. We were successful naturally with him after a year and a half of trying (8 months of treatment from him). He is honest and doesnt waste time or money, which some will not be able to appreciate. I love Dr Sharara and will definitely be back to see him when we try for #2.
Dr. Sharara has been a God send to us. After years of having trouble conceiving, heart break and frustration we finally went to the right place. He gave us all the answers to our issues and within months of seeing him we are now expecting. In addition to giving us a baby, he has given me peace of mind and has improved my overall health.
