I’ve never had such a horrible doctors visit. He basically told me I’m making things up and my imagining studies are a lie. He was terrible.
Overall not a good experience with Dr. Vapnek. Does not listen to you, refused to provide requests (cystoscopy exam, prostate exam, etc) despite having logical reasons and a family history. He stormed out of the room after kindly asking for these requests. Visited another urologist that listened and gave me options for important requests (CT scans, MRI, nuclear medicine renal exam, cystoscopy, etc). Felt rushed and he may have confused me with some one else because he thought he had given me a preliminary procedure, when in fact he did not! Truthfully he didn’t do anything with me just consultation. Some people are just not suited to dealing with the public. He may be a brilliant surgeon but he has zero tolerance for too many questions and if you are looking for any kind of “bed side manner “ you won’t find it here.
Dr. Vapnek is an extremely capable urologist and is also a good listener and explainer. He did excellent work on me. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Vapnek.
RUN AWAY from this DOCTOR!!! He is RUDE, UNKIND and not professional. Had the worse experience with him. He won't listen to you and will make you feel worse after seeing him. Will never go back to his office. Do yourself a favor and chose a different urology.
Went with my wife to have a potential kidney stone issue looked at. Found Dr. Vapnek friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. He took plenty of time to listen to her concerns. He had looked at imagery we had sent over and explained that nothing needed to be done at this time. She was very relieved. Front office and other staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
He left town right after performing surgery on me. I had a bladder sling and it was too tight so I couldn’t urinate at all. He told me to go to the office and the nurse showed me how to catheterize myself. He was on vacation. His partner saw me but didn’t know what was going on, there was no sign out. I was scheduled for two weeks later. When I showed up two weeks later, he was angry with me for letting it go so long. He said I needed a new surgery right away. I just done what I was told. If you are looking for a talented, professional who issued exceptionally well trained Urologist this is your guy. Cleveland Clinic fellowship says it all. Could he be a bit more relatable yes. Do you want a smart excellent surgeon who knows his stuff. This is the guy.
All these negative reviews trouble me . I think Dr Vapnek is a great doctor
